  • Kristin Berkery of Red Dog Studio writes "This little mare is in between Stablemate-scale and micro-mini scale. (See the bottom photo for a scale comparison.) She's a spirited little Arabian mare heavy in foal, but not too pregnant to feel frisky. She was inspired by the typey and athletic mares bred by Jack Tone Ranch in Stockton, Calif., for the last 50+ years. If you visit their ranch and ask to see their horses in action, you'll see exactly what I was aiming for in this sculpture. Her name came from Fadjurs Joi, one of the daughters of the legendary Fadjur x Saki cross, who's birthday was just two days after Kristin's. This sculpture is packed full of details, from her mare anatomy under her tail to her tiny nipples on her udder to her little "tear bones" under her eyes. She has sculpted muscling throughout. She has a lot of spunk, but she stands only 1-3/4 inches at her eartips!" Click here to see her. Thanks Kristin!

  • Kevin and Holly McFarland have donated TWO of their awesome SM arena fence display bases for our auction! One is Western logo themed for those Western setups, and one has both Western and English logos for more of an all-purpose display. Kevin describes the base as follows...

Remove the cover, set up the fence, and add your horse! What could be easier? Our unique arena fence display base is always ready to go! We build our fences using dimensional lumber sizes like the real world, complete with nail holes. Sponsor logos are not simply glued on "cutouts", but rather professionally applied artwork utilizing techniques that provide a realistic, painted on appearance. Although difficult to see in these images, fences come weathered, i.e. somewhat dirty, kicked, and scuffed. Quite simply put, the finest little fences available. Base is 12" wide x 6" deep, complete with play sand, and will accommodate 10 foot (scale) rails when needed. Now, NAN cards are easy to obtain in both western and english pleasure classes with this flexible display! And when the day is over, simply "pop" off the fence, place into base, and attach the matching Hunter green plywood cover that features a foam seal. Easy enough? And best of all, no more sandy mess!

You can see the way cool arena at:
